Workshop on Ultrafast Phenomena

Workshop on Ultrafast Phenomena

This workshop brings together researchers studying ultrafast phenomena in matter. Using time-resolved and terahertz methods, it spans photoinduced phase transitions, nonlinear phononics, and carrier and lattice dynamics across solids, liquids, gases and biological samples.

Date

Tuesday, 29 September 2026

SuBMITION

Contributions to the workshop should be made via the general SPO 2026 submission form. All laser-related research will be allocated to the workshop sessions by the Program Committee.

Participants will discuss the latest advances in time-resolved studies of ultrafast processes — from photoinduced phase transitions and nonlinear phononics to ultrafast dynamics in condensed matter, liquids, gases and biological systems — using femtosecond, attosecond and terahertz techniques.

TopicS

  • Time-resolved and pump–probe spectroscopy
  • Photoinduced phase transitions
  • Nonlinear phononics
  • Carrier and lattice dynamics in solids
  • Ultrafast dynamics in liquids and gases
  • Terahertz science
  • Ultrafast studies of biological samples
