Workshop on Sustainable Materials and Technologies

Workshop on Sustainable Materials and Technologies

This workshop will spotlight state-of-the-art laser–matter interaction techniques for creating and improving materials and devices in optoelectronics. We will cover how laser processing enables precise patterning, selective modification, and rapid, low-thermal-budget fabrication of thin films, nanostructures, contacts, and interfaces.

SuBMITION

Contributions to the workshop should be made via the general SPO 2025 submission form. All related research will be assigned to the workshop sessions by the Program Committee.

Through invited lectures and interactive discussions, participants will learn about recent breakthroughs, practical process windows, and metrology for quality assurance. Case studies will span research and industry, with an emphasis on scalable, energy-efficient manufacturing routes relevant to Ukraine’s academic and industrial labs.

TopicS

  • Ultrafast (fs/ps) laser processing & beam shaping

  • Micro/nano patterning and texturing of thin films

  • Laser annealing/recrystallization & dopant activation

  • Laser sintering/additive fabrication of functional layers and contacts

  • Semiconductor/oxide processing for LEDs, photodetectors & solar cells

  • In-situ diagnostics, reliability, and sustainable scale-up
